Simple Fall Favorites for the New Season

Simple Fall Favorites for the New Season

Fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for, and over the years, I’ve developed a bit of a system to up the cozy factor at home. I’ve found that it’s easiest for every day living to layer in a few inspired details over time, starting small, and slowly adding or swapping out one or two décor pieces as the season lingers.

Hops or wheat inspired décor work well for early September, when the weather’s still warm, but the light is beginning to change. I also love incorporating some back-to-school details; my go-to ruler ribbon is my favorite for teacher gifts or other packaging throughout the month.

Later in the month and into October, I’ll start swapping out early fall details for more traditional autumn pieces; pumpkins, plaids and autumn-hued scents help set the scene.

The system lends itself well to minimalist living; there’s no need for a multitude of décor pieces or items to celebrate one season to the next. The most timeless, seasonal décor pieces aren’t ones that completely take over a space, rather infuse a feeling here and there.

Here are some of my simple fall favorites, perfect for adding in a hint of cozy here and there for years to come...
